MISSION

Beyond beauty and talents, the Miss Tallahassee Pageant represents the ideals of our community. We teach, and encourage, healthy lifestyles, self-confidence, creative accomplishment, community service, and the pursuit of scholastic achievement among young women. Our goal is to inspire, motivate, and lift young women to the realization that they are strong, independent, capable young ladies who can accomplish anything they set their minds to. We, as a committee, are dedicated to that dream and promise to do our best to make it possible. We choose to not only look for, but to cultivate potential and never put anyone down. We hope that each of these young women in our community come away with more than just a title. We hope they see that the effects of a positive attitude, self-respect, respect for others, and the fulfillment of knowing that being good role models will last much longer than beauty or a crown.

Beauty comes in many forms. Cultivating a beautiful heart, and blessing those around you with love, charity and consideration is what really makes a true beauty queen.

I never dreamed of doing pageantry but was challenged as an adult to grow in a space that was not familiar. That challenged me in so many ways. It allowed me to stand confident in my voice, service and my power as a leader. In my opinion, it really allowed me find who I am and what I stand for. It is far more valuable than what others choose to see. Knowing who you are, and valiancy, will make you stand out far above the rest. The legacy of beauty pageants will continue to move forward- evolving along the way. After many successes in the pageant world, I realized that my why to continue was the same reason I started. To be ever-growing a woman, leader and community advocate. I fell in love with the ability to use my power for good, and to empower the lives of others through experiences, love and hope. My journey of competing has been fulfilled, knowing that I was called to serve in pageantry in a different way. The Miss Tallahassee Leadership Pageant will provide all the things I love about the experience. I hope that the beauty seen will reveal what I know to be true. That is that beautiful hearts, dedicated to good, building a healthy impact for all mankind, and forward-focused growth, are what you can expect in our pageant system.
